Rena Brisentine, MS LPC LMHC CST
I was born and raised in rural Alaska, and lived in Alaska until 2017. I love mountaineering, reading, camping, running, and cooking. I believe in human resiliency, in the power of stories, and in our ability to change.
I have worked in detox programs, rehab, community behavioral health, emergency services, the foster system, and private practice. I believe that the diversity of my background helps me reach more clients and understand our human experiences more broadly.

Therapy Style
In our work together you can expect me to take a de-stigmatizing, harm reduction, sex positive and values oriented approach.
In our first session I’ll ask about what brings us together at this time, get to know you, take a brief history, and go over practice policies and confidentiality.
It can be overwhelming to begin therapy. I am here to answer any question you might have.
